Ammonite Pleurokera

Plevokeras was a species of small ammonites with a particularly beautiful ribbed shell with a serrated texture on the outside. Pleura horns were fast carnivores that lived in the seas where Europe, the British Isles and Canada are now during the early Jurassic period 189-183 million years ago. The shells of various species could reach 14 cm in diameter.
